LARKANA, July 23: Three persons were killed and four others injured when a high-speed van rammed into an auto rickshaw on the outskirts of Ratodero on Monday night. The speedy vehicle heading towards Ratodero ploughed into the rickshaw which was just entering the main highway from village ‘Sher Mohammed Joyo’ on Ratodero-Shahdadkot road.

Qayoom Agham, 45, and Sapna daughter of Iqbal Joyo, 5, died on the spot.

The injured were immediately taken to Chandka Medical College Hospital Larkana where Abdul Aziz son of Mohammed Ibrahim Lolaey died.

The injured, identified as Bashir Joyo, rickshaw driver; his daughter Rabia, 12; Shahzad Agham and Rabil Joyo, were admitted in CMCH Larkana.

Police have arrested Ghulam Abbas Shaikh the driver of the van and impounded the vehicle while the rickshaw was completely destroyed.

PRISONER DIES: An under-trial-prisoner, Mohammed Essa Mashori, 65, resident of Nazar locality, Larkana, died in jail ward of Chandka Medical College hospital here on Monday.
