KARACHI, July 23: Five ships carrying containers, edible oil, crude oil, chemicals and iron ore were accommodated berths at QICT, MPT, Fotco Terminal, EVT and IOCB during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Monday.Meanwhile, two more ships with containers and chemicals also arrived at the outer anchorage. Six ships, Saudi Abha, Pacheco, Chem Jasmine, Spirit-II, Nogogini and Makran, were busy in loading and unloading containers, edible oil, crude oil, chemicals and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 43,548 tons comprising 39,468 tons of import and 4,080 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was active as Pacheco, Saudi Abha and Nogogini left the port while Chem Jasmine was due to depart.
