KARACHI: Training course ends

KARACHI, July 22: A week-long training course on solid waste management concluded on Saturday at the Municipal Training and Research Institute (MTRI), Clifton, Karachi.

As many as 41 participants comprising nazims and naib nazims of district governments, taluka municipal administrations and union councils, taluka officers, chief officers and other functionaries of the local councils participated in the training course.

MTRI principal Mohammad Afzal Arain briefed the participants about the role of the institute in the field of training aimed at enhancing skills of local leaders and functionaries.

He highlighted the importance of solid waste management for which the training course was designed. At the end, MTRI principal distributed certificates among participants of the course.—PPI
