Even NAB rendered ineffective

LAHORE, July 21: Out of the three policemen who were caught red-handed while taking bribe by the National Accountability Bureau officials, at least one has again succeeded in getting the same post.

Former Data Darbar chowki in charge sub inspector Malik Mubashir Awan who was taken into custody by the NAB officials three months back, along with two other officials, for receiving bribe, is currently working as Tibbi City SHO.

Similarly, New Anarkali SHO sub-inspector Hafiz Tariq was arrested by NAB officials from Regal Chowk on July 16 when he was receiving Rs10,000 bribe from one Jamshaid Azam. It is worth mentioning that Hafiz Tariq had received bribe from the same person when he was posted in Ravi Town CIA. —Staff Reporter
