KARACHI, July 19: Abdullah Asad slammed a superb hundred while medium pacer Akram Shoaib claimed six wickets as Zone-VI Whites crushed Zone-V Greens by 199 runs in the KCCA Inter-zonal Under-17 tournament at the KCCA Stadium on Wednesday.

Abdullah posted exactly 100 runs while Talha Shafi and Talha Shabbir recorded half-centuries in helping Zone-VI Whites amass 278-2 in 50 overs.

Zone-V Greens, in reply, crumbled to 79 all out in the 23rd over. Akram Shoaib finished with 6-30 and Shahzaib Ali captured 4-16.

Meanwhile, Zone-III Whites defeated Zone-VII Blues by four wickets at Asifabad Ground. Leg-spinner Akhtar Kiani grabbed 4-41 for the winners.

In another match left-arm spinner Usmanullah got three wickets for 21 and S.M. Adeel made a match-winning 47 in Zone-IV Blues’ seven-wicket win over Zone-II Blues at the TMC Ground.
