Cadet colleges bag top positions

KOHAT, July 16: Students of the Cadet College, Kohat (CCK), and the Garrison Cadet College, Kohat (GCCK), clinched top ten positions in the secondary school examinations, according to the results announced on Monday by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Kohat.

The chairman of the board, Sardar Ayub, told newsmen that the top position was claimed by Asif Bahadar, followed by Hassanyar Baresh and Hamza Saeed Orakzai of the CCK who stood second and third, respectively.

Among the girls, Maria Khan of the Saint Joseph’s Public School bagged the first position, while Hoorish Obaid Paracha and Tazeen Taimoor of the Iqra Public School got second and third positions, respectively.

A total of 29,518 students took the examinations, of which 16,842 were declared successful. The pass percentage was 57 per cent, the chairman added.
