LAHORE, July 15: Two men allegedly shot at a citizen on resistance and took away his cell phone in Samanabad on Sunday.

Muhammad Rizwan told the police that he was standing at his doorstep in Jehangir Park, New Mozang when two gun-totting men, riding a bike, came to him and demanded his cell phone. On resistance, they opened fire, snatched his mobile set and managed their escape.

The injured was rushed to the Services Hospital.

The police have registered a case.

Two robbers looted as many families in different police precincts in the city.

Qaiser told the police that the bandits, riding a bike (LZQ-4237), stopped him and his family at their doorstop in Rehmanpura, Wahdat Colony when they returned after attending a marriage.

The robbers deprived them of cash and jewellery worth Rs400,000 and managed their escape.

The same pillion riders appeared on Main Boulevard in Gulshan Ravi and deprived a family of cash and four gold bangles.

Two armed men came to Khalil outside a bakery shop in Nawankot and snatched Rs10,000 and a cell phone.

Two robbers stopped a citizen near Green Town police station and deprived him of Rs8,000 and a cell phone.

Citizens were robbed of cash and cell phones in Sanda, Shahdara, Shalimar and Shadbagh.

LIFTED: An auto-rickshaw was lifted from Sanda and two motorcycles from Batapur and Shahdara.
