MIRPURKHAS, July 12: Action committee for the rehabilitation of teachers who were sacked in 1998 continued their token hunger strike outside the local press club on 11th day running on Thursday.

Hunger strikers including Manzoor Maher, Mohammad Ismail Shah, Abdul Jabbar Rahimoon, Mohammad Safar, Mohammad Akhtar and Abbas Ali Leghari regretted that the government was not paying any attention to their protest.

They said that most of the sacked teachers had been reinstated on the directives of Sindh High Court while about 25 per cent belonging to Mirpurkhas were still waiting of posting orders.
