Funds released for police plans

LAKKI MARWAT, July 12: The federal government has released a sum of Rs120 million for construction of district police office, police lines, police stations and check posts in the Lakki Marwat district.

A press release issued here by the Lakki Marwat district nazim office said the government had issued directives for an early launch of work on the projects.

The Lakki Marwat district government had provided a piece of land measuring 90 kanal for setting up the police lines and other offices.The federal minister for inter-provincial coordination and the district nazim said the district police would get modern facilities after the completion of the projects and hoped that their performance would also improve.

The projects, they said, were a long-standing demand of the people and added that the construction activity would provide job opportunities to local people.—APP
