KARACHI, July 12: A student committed suicide in Gulistan-i-Jauhar on Thursday.
Police said the body of Syed Muhammad Talah, 19, was found hanging from a ceiling fan in his house on Thursday morning. Police said it was not clear what drove the boy to resort to such an extreme step.
The victim’s body was sent to hospital for legal formalities.
Doctor thief
Police arrested a doctor allegedly involved in motorcycle thefts during a snap checking in the Gulberg area on Thursday.
Police said Nasir Ali, 37, was nabbed in Block 17, F.B Area. During interrogation, he told police that he was an MBBS doctor and had returned from the US after spending 10 years there.
He had links with some motorcycle mechanics who helped him dispose of the two-wheelers he stole or snatched.
Police said the suspect was a drug addict and a divorcee.
