HYDERABAD, July 11: The ladies Wing of the PML-Q has rebelled against the provincial leadership and called upon the Sindh Chief Minister and central leadership of the party, Choudhry Shujaat Hussain, Mushahid Hussain Syed and the Central President, Sumera Malik to take notice of threats being issued by Senator Ghaffar Qureshi and the Provincial President Afshan Imran.

Addressing a news conference at the press club on Wednesday, Provincial General Secretary of Ladies Wing Nasreen Riaz said that in exercise of powers she was empowered to remove an office-bearer from the post on complaint. She said on the written complaint of District President Hyderabad, Seema Solangi and other members she had to replace the General Secretary Ms Saleh Zia with Shamim Gopang.

Upon this she first received a threatening call by Afshan Imran from the Chief Minister house of her removal from the post on failure to reinstate Ms Saleh Zia and another from the same place by Senator Ghaffar Qureshi. She refused and told Mr Qureshi he had nothing to do with the Ladies Wing and had no powers to remove her as it was directly controlled by the central leadership.

She accused Senator Ghaffar Qureshi of destroying the party in Hyderabad and insulted senior Muslim League leaders and workers by thrusting his own favourites.
