KARACHI, July 8: A splendid bowling performance by spinner Wajidullah Zone-V helped lift the Karachi region title in the PCB Inter-district Under-19 Cricket Championship after defeating Zone-IV by 95 runs at the Landhi Gymkhana Ground here on Sunday.

Off-spinner Wajidullah bagged seven for 49 in 20.5 overs as Zone-IV were bowled out for 175 after starting the final day of the two-day fixture at 51 for one. Ali Jawad, who was 35 overnight, made 44.

In other matches, Zone-VI completed an easy 105-run win over bottom-placed Zone-III at the KCCA Stadium while Zone-II beat Zone-VI by seven wickets at the TMC Ground.
