Kenya’s marathon team named

NAIROBI, July 7: Former world champion Catherine Ndereba will spearhead a ten-member marathon squad for next month's world championships in Osaka, Japan, Kenyan athletics officials said on Friday.

A four-time Boston marathon winner and a silver medallist at the Athens Olympics in 2004, Ndereba will use this weekend's Sapporo International half marathon in Japan as her final build-up for the Aug 25-Sept 2 event.

Men’s: Daniel Njenga, Luke Kibet, Laban Kipkemboi, William Kiplagat, James Macharia.
