LAHORE, July 6: Police have found no clue to the kidnappers of a civil judge so far. Narowal civil judge Malik Nasir was kidnapped by three car riders from Ferozepur Road here on July 3. Later, the kidnappers demanded Rs30 million from the judge’s family.

Two police teams have been formed to recover the judge, but a CIA police superintendent, who is heading one of the teams, told Dawn on Friday that there was no progress on the issue.

Policemen: None of the six policemen, accused of letting escape the main culprit of the kidney racket, was arrested on Friday.

Former station house officer of the Factory Area Shaukat Ali and five other officials, including one from the Gulshan-i-Ravi police station, were nominated in a first information report a couple of days ago.

The accused let go Ijaz who had detained several people in his house, allegedly forcing them to sell their kidneys. The accused took handsome graft from Ijaz. A senior investigation officer told Dawn that police were after the accused and would arrest him soon.
