LAHORE, July 4: Five factory workers allegedly clubbed their 25-year-old co-worker to death for stealing a cell phone in Jauhar Town on Wednesday.

Police said Jamshaid Ali of Chunian was working in a hosiery factory and living in Jauhar Town along with some of his colleagues. He was found dead in his room on Wednesday with club wounds to his head.

Ali’s father Bagh told police that five of Ali’s colleagues, including Ibrahim and Habib, killed him allegedly for stealing a cell phone.

THREE KILLED: Three people died in separate road accidents here on Wednesday.

Shalimar police said three friends Sunny, Maqsood and Abdul Aziz were riding a motorcycle on Bund Road when a trailer hit them at Crol Ghati and injured them. They were taken to Services Hospital where Sunny died, while Aziz was critical.

Naseerabad police said a motorcyclist hit and killed 60-year-old Dialwar Husain of Badami Bagh. Mughalpura police said an unidentified 25-year-old man was killed when a bus hit him.
