SHIKARPUR: Man killed in ambush

SHIKARPUR, July 4: A man was shot dead and another suffered serious injuries reportedly in an ambush by rival group in the Jumo Mahar village in the jurisdiction of Rustam police station on Wednesday.

Reports reaching here said that Shahban Mahar was killed and his relative Majan Mahar sustained injuries when their rival group belonging to Jatoi clan ambushed them.

They attacked them when they were on their way to fields for paddy transplantation.

The motive behind the killing is said to be an ongoing tribal dispute between the tow tribes.

No FIR was registered till the filing of this report.
