RAWALPINDI, March 6: A 50-year-old man, Ghulam Hussain committed suicide after killing his two cousins over a match-making dispute in Chak Jalal Deen on Wednesday, police said.

Bodies of the two girls, Afsana Shaheen, 18, and Rizwana Shaheen, 15, were handed over to their mother after the postmortem.

Meanwhile, the deputy manager of a local hotel, Rizwan Ahmad, was found dead in the swimming pool of the hotel on Wednesday, police said.

His body was fished out while his clothes were found near the pool. Police said they were not informed by the hotel management about the incident.

A doctor informed the police at 2:30pm, the police said. The police were investigating the cause of death.

The body was, however, handed over to his family after the postmortem.

ROBBERY: Some highway robbers blocked the road near Bhara Kahu and looted cash and jewellery from the passengers of a bus and some persons who were travelling in a car on Tuesday night, police said.
