PESHAWAR, July 3: The National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) will launch a drive to provide computerised national identity cards in the NWFP and tribal areas before the next general elections, according to a press release.
The handout said that a special task force had been set up in the Nadra regional headquarters in Peshawar for the purpose. Nadra teams would specially focus on far-flung districts like Battagram, Kohistan, Chitral, Hangu, Tank and tribal areas. The Nadra has directed its swift centres in different cities of the province to facilitate citizens and provide them identity cards.—Bureau Report
