Man kills wife, sister-in-law

LARKANA, July 1: A man killed his wife and widowed sister-in-law in the Bazigar village on the outskirts of the city on Saturday accusing them of having developed illicit relations with some men.

Reports reaching here said that Qalandar Bakhsh Shaikh surrendered to police after killing his wife Shabnam, 23, and her widowed sister Shareefan, 27.

He claimed that he had found the two in compromising position with some men in his house. The men, however, managed to escape, he claimed.

Ismaiel Shaikh, the father of murdered sisters, supported Qalandar Bakhsh’s version but the mother blamed that his husband, Qalandar Bakhsh and his cousins had shot dead his daughters.

She insisted her daughters were innocent and told journalists that the killers had mixed some intoxicating drugs in the tea which the family members drank and then killed her daughters.
