CHITRAL, June 30: The strike by the employees of the Tehsil Municipal Administration, Chitral, in protest against the non-payment of salaries to the municipal workers entered the second day on Saturday.
Salaries have not been paid for two months.The employees regretted that the provincial government did not come forward to help TMA resolve the financial issue despite repeated requests.
Due to the financial crisis, all telephone lines have been cut off while Pesco has served a notice on the municipal administration for the disconnection of power supply.
