Qari Khalil’s apology rejected

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Oct 20: A delegation led by Maulana Alauddin called on the SSP of Dera Ismail Khan, Arif Nawaz on Friday and tendered an apology on behalf of Qari Khalil-ur-Rehman of Jaish-i-Muhammad who had announced “head money” on Gen Pervez Mushar-raf at a public rally on 15th.

They submitted a written statement and deed of immunity from Qari Khalil and requested the SSP to withdraw the case registered against him.

They were heard by the SSP but were advised to ask Qari Khalil to surrender and face trial.

The SSP informed the delegation that Qari Khalil was wanted not only by the local police but also by several other agencies and he could remain in hiding for long.

In its continuation of the previous case and rallies, the city police have registered another case but the FIR has been kept concealed.

On 15th Oct rally, Qari Khalil had announced an award of one million dollars on the hunt of Gen Pervez Musharraf, dead or alive. Later, a case under  sections 124/188/505/506PPC and 16 MPO was registered against him and his other allies.
