25pc FED adjustment

ISLAMABAD, June 28: The Central Board of Revenue (CBR) has allowed the waiver of penalty and adjustment of excise duty on the beverage industry, according to two new notifications of federal excise duty (FED) issued here on Wednesday.

The FED notification, SRO-648 of 2007, said that the CBR has allowed a waiver of penalties for persons depositing the principal amount of the excise duty.

The other notification, SRO-649 of 2007, said the beverage manufacturers have been allowed 25 per cent adjustment of excise duty to be paid on aerated beverages.
