KARACHI: KU exams postponed

KARACHI, June 26: The University of Karachi on Tuesday announced the postponement of all papers of LLB final (new and old courses) and BSc (Home Economics) scheduled to be held on Wednesday.

New dates for these exams would be announced later, said a KU spokesman.

Meanwhile, an official of the Board of Secondary Education, Karachi said that practical examination scheduled for Tuesday had been postponed till July 16, while other practical exams would be held according to the schedule.

BODY FORMED: The vice-chancellor of the University of Karachi constituted a crisis management committee to deal with the ‘post-rainstorm situation’ at the campus.

According to a KU spokesman, the seven-member committee with Dr Mohammad Qaisar as convener has been authorised to tackle the situation on an emergency basis.

Besides, the committee will submit a future plan to make arrangements to protect life, property and facilities at the campus from any natural calamity.

The relevant departments’ officers / staffs would be answerable to the committee, the spokesman said.
