Media code in 15 days: PBA

ISLAMABAD, June 25: The Pakistan Broadcasters Association (PBA) confirmed that it would present the final voluntary self-regulating code of conduct to the minister of information and broadcasting in 15 days, after constitutional and legal vetting by its counsel.

This was stated by Mir Shakilur Rahman, chairman of the PBA, at a meeting held in Islamabad on Monday.

The meeting unanimously decided that a joint committee comprising members representing the Pakistan Broadcasters Association, ministry of information and the Pemra will be constituted to finalise the code, according to a press release.
