KARACHI, June 24: District Coordination Officer Javed Hanif Khan has directed the officials of city government, town administration, cantonment boards, water board, building control authority, traffic police, Karachi Electric Supply Corporation and other civic agencies to make coordinated efforts for saving the citizens from hardships during ensuing monsoon rains.
Presiding over a meeting called at his office on Saturday to review the contingency plan for the monsoon rains, he said that the plan should envisage rescue and relief operations, rainwater drainage, smooth flow of traffic and other such aspects.—PPI
