SANGHAR, June 24: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has begun investigations against Abdul Baqi Mahar, a registrar and former IG registration Sindh.

The NAB is investigating his standard of living which it finds to be beyond his known sources of income.

On Sunday, a NAB official Zubair Malik and Deputy District Officer Revenue (NAB) visited Shahdadpur and checked revenue records in Qubo Shahzad, Juma and other dehs.

Mr Mahar has shown a 13-acre area of land he got on lease 20 years ago. He said he earned a lot from it and made properties worth millions of rupees.

The NAB officials have seized the record.

BREACH: A 50-foot wide breach occurred in Lundo minor at LR-8 inspection path side on Sunday near Maroof Dahri, Shahdadpur. The minor originates from Rohri canal.

The villagers have started to plug the breach with the help of tractors and gunny bags.

The irrigation authorities have lowered the gates of Rohri canal to reduce the flow of water.

In Ghulam village a large portion of crops came under water.
