KARACHI, June 20: Pakistan’s Mohammad Ashfaque performed remarkably well and was lying third in Laser Standard at the end of opening day’s races in the Al-Bareh International Regatta in Bahrain, according to results available here on Wednesday.

Host nation’s Sami was leading the 15-boat fleet followed by his compatriot, Abdullah.

Ashraf of Pakistan Navy was at the 10th spot among 22 boats in Laser Radial. In the Optimist contest, boy prodigy Abdur Rehman was trailing at 10th among the 15-boat fleet which is led by Qatar’s Hasan Tamimi.
