PESHAWAR, June. 20: The Islami Jamiat Talba on Wednesday observed a protest day against the alleged target killing of a member of its Majlis-i-Shura and other terrorist incidents across the country.

“Condolence references and seminars were organised to protest against terrorism, especially the killing of Syed Wasif Aziz, who was killed on June 14, ” Mohammad Ajmal Khan, nazim of the IJT’s NWFP chapter, told a press conference.

He was accompanied by Sahibzada Arshadullah, university campus nazim, Sabir Shah, nazim of Peshawar City and Sibghatullah, IJT’s provincial secretary information.

Blaming the Sindh governor and General Pervez Musharraf for the murder of Wasif Aziz, he said that an immediate action needed to be taken.

He said that despite protests, FIR could not be registered.

Accusing the Muttahida Qaumi Movement of the May 12 incident, he said the IJT would release a white paper to unmask real faces of MQM leaders.

He condemned the bombing of a religious school in the North Waziristan Agency.
