KARACHI, June 19: The Sindh Hockey Association (SHA) on Tuesday named 51 players for selection of two Sindh outfits to take part in the National Junior Under-19 hockey championship, starting in Quetta from Sunday.

The selection committee headed by former international Jan Mohammad picked the players after two-day trials at the UBL Sports Complex.

The players will attend a short training camp before the two teams comprising 20 members each are selected and named on June 22.

Goalkeepers: Shakeel, Qurban, Fayyaz Ahmed, Nasir Junior, Nasir Senior, Mohammad Nasir.

Fullbacks: Zia-ul-Haq, Farhan Hyder, Sheraz Hussain, Adnan Hamid, Ali Hassan, Zohaib, Akram, Haseeb.

Halfbacks: Yasir Ali, Shahab Ali, Saqib Ali, Ehsan, Adil Rasheed, Junaid Aslam, Shabbir Abbas, Anwar Ali, Umair, Salman Mehdi, Adil Rasheed, Junaid Aslam, Shabbir Abbas.
