ISLAMABAD, June 19: The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has recommended several appointments in various departments of the water and power, food and agriculture, information, population, finance, planning, tourism, defence and statistics divisions, said a press release of the FPSC here Monday.

Nizamuddin Laghari (BS-19) has been appointed Director, Statistics (BS-19), Pakistan Public Administration Research Centre, Management Service Wing, Establishment Division and Syed Abdul Qader Shah has been appointed Chief Statistical Officer (BS-18).

Shabana Bari has been appointed Director/Principal Scientific Officer (BS-19), in the Ministry of Population Welfare.

Shaukat Zaman has been appointed Deputy Chief, Ministry of Tourism, (BS-19).

The FPSC has recommended the appointments of Wajid Nawaz Khan as Joint Commissioner for Indus Water (BS-19) and Muhammad Nadeem Ashraf as Computer Programmer and System Analyst (BS-17) in the office of the Pakistan Commissioner for Indus Water, Lahore. Mahfooz Ahmed Qazi has been appointed Assistant Engineering Adviser (BS-18), office of the Chief Engineering Adviser/Chairman, Federal Flood Commission, Ministry of Water and Power.

The Commission has recommended the appointment of Muhammad Israr as draftsman, (BS-18), in Azad Jammu and Kashmir Council Secretariat.

Muhammad Rafiq Shaikh has been appointed Data-base Administrator (BS-18) and Gul Muhammad Shah as programmer (BS-18) in the Finance Division.

Mahmood Sadiq, Qudratullah Khan and Niaz Ahmed have been appointed Assistant Soil Survey Research Officers (BS-17) and Mrs Sajida as Scientific Officer (BS-17) National Veterinary Laboratory, in the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock.

Muhammad Taimoor Khan Afridi has been appointed as Research Officer (BS-17) in the Transport and Communication Section and Faisal Nadeem Saher as Research Officer (BS-17) Water Resources Section of the Planning and Development Division.

Abdul Sami and Noorul Amin Mohsin have been appointed pharmacists (BS-17), Pakistan Navy in the defence ministry.

Wajahat Wadood has been appointed Research Associate (BS-17) in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

Jahanzaib Khan has been appointed Programmer (Bs-17), Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development.

The FPSC will hold professional screening tests on June 28-29 at Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, Hyderabad, Sukkur and Gilgit simultaneously for various posts advertised in its consolidated advertisements.
