Man killed

SHIKARPUR, June 19: A man was killed in the jurisdiction of the Sharif Kharos police of the kutcha area on Tuesday.

Reports reaching here said that a group of armed men shot Mohammad Sadiq dead when he was going to his home. The motive behind the murder is said to be a land dispute.

Bakhsh Ali Jatoi, the brother of deceased, has lodged an FIR against 21 people, including Shahan Narejo, Majeed Narejo, Imdad Kalwar, Mazhar Kalwar and Mohammad Ali Kalwar.

Our Nawabshah correspondent adds: One person was killed and nine others were injured in a clash between two groups of villagers in Tauq Ali Jamali village near Nawabshah airport on Tuesday.

Axes and clubs were used in the clash in which Mir Hassan, 27, was killed on the spot and Fareed, Zaibunnisa, Madad Ali, Mukhtiar Ali, Manzoor and Ms Hoori and others were injured.

Those injured were taken to the NMC hospital.
