KARACHI, June 17: The Imamia Students’ Organisation took out a procession on Sunday against the sacrilege of holy shrines in Iraq and termed it part of conspiracy hatched by the western powers.

The procession started from Purani Numaish and culminated at Tibet Centre on M.A. Jinnah Road, where religious leaders, including Allama Abbas Kumaili, Allama Agha Aftab Haider Jafri, Maulana Baqar Zaidi, Maulana Razi Haider and others, addressed the participants of the procession.

They said that those desecrated the holy shrines would be defeated one day and the truth would prevail. They said that the profanity of the holy shrines of Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani (RA), Imam Ali Naqi (AS) and Imam Hasan Askari (AS) was part of the plot by the western powers who showed their hatred against Muslims by bestowing the title ‘Sir’ on Salman Rushdi.
