HYDERABAD, March 4: The Sindh High Court, Hyderabad circuit bench, here on Monday issued bailable warrants against the district police officer (DPO), Nawabshah, and SHO, Daur police station, in a sum of Rs100,000 each for their failure in producing wife of an applicant before the court.

The order was passed on an application filed by Habibullah Chandio.

He informed that the respondent SHO raided his house on Jan 15 at the insistence of the respondent, Ali Mohammad, and took away his wife, Ms Gul Bano.

He said that his wife was being held in wrongful detention by Ali Mohammad after the police handed her over to him.

He maintained that he had received messages from his wife that Ali Mohammad wanted to kill her and forcing her for abortion.

The applicant said that he had approached Ali Mohammad on a number of occasions but failed to get her wife.

The court had issued rule nisi on last date of hearing but the woman was not brought to court.
