NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, June 16: Budget with an outlay of Rs2,407 million was presented by the Nazim to District Council Naushahro Feroze for 2007-08 on Saturday. An amount of Rs1,747 million had been earmarked for salaries, Rs223 million for non-salary expenses and Rs437 million for the Annual Development Programme.

District Nazim Ghulam Rasool Jatoi said that Rs100 million would be for development schemes and on providing facilities to primary schools, while grant received from the SDSSP will be spent on primary and secondary schools.

He said that about Rs800,000 had been allocated for the technology centre. Rs12 million had been allotted for provision of gas to two villages namely while Rs3 million would be allocated for drip irrigation system under a government programme.
