Two killed in Haripur incidents

HARIPUR, June 16: Two persons were killed in different incidents here on Friday evening. A young man, swimming in the Khanpur Dam near the boat stop at around 6pm, drowned, police said.

His friends and locals fished out the body late in the evening.

The deceased was identified as Chanzeb Haq, a resident of Tench Bhata, Rawalpindi.

In the other incident, Alla Ditta, 75, a resident of village Mankraye, died when unknown armed men entered his home and opened fire at him.

The motive behind the murder could not be ascertained. The family said they had no enmity with any one.
