Four killed in accidents

ISLAMABAD, June 16: Four persons were killed and four injured in separate road accidents, police said here on Saturday. In the first incident, five persons suffered multiple injuries when a taxi (LRW-5072) collided with a wagon (PRK-8570) at Jhangi Syedan.

The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital where a passenger, Ijaz Ahmad, died. The other persons — Mohammad Murtaza, Hukumdad, Manzoor Hussan and Akhtar Hussain — are said to be in critical condition.

In the second incident, Rifat Hussain suffered multiple injuries when a speeding vehicle (RPT-6903) hit him while he was crossing Sihala Road.

He was shifted to a nearby hospital where the doctors pronounced him death.

In the third incident, Abdullah, a resident of I-10, died when his car (KE-899) overturned at 7-UP Chowk.

In another incident a taxi driver, Ibrar Hussain, was killed when a vehicle (HE-499) crashed into his vehicle (LHM-774) at I- 9/1.
