ISLAMABAD, June 14: Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr Sher Afghan Niazi on Thursday submitted a reference to National Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Amir Hussain, seeking disqualification of chief of the Tehreek-i-Insaaf Imran Khan.

In the reference, Dr. Afghan said Imran Khan did not qualify for the assembly’s membership under Articles 62 and 63 of the Constitution.

He said that Sita White had filed a case against the cricketer-turned-politician in 1991.

“He is the father of her (Sita White’s) daughter Teeryan and the verdict has also come,” he held. —Online
