KARACHI, June 14: In order to overcome the ongoing power crisis in the province, especially in Karachi, research in coordination with IT experts will be carried out.

This was stated by Sindh IT Adviser Noman Saigol while speaking at a high-level meeting at his office her on Thursday.

The adviser asked the officials of the IT department to provide technical support to the KESC regarding tripping of any unit, distribution system and overloading of system.

In this regard, computerised monitoring of all generation units and load factor on grid stations would be carried out, he added.

The energy saving research programme would be designed jointly by experts of the information technology department and KESC officials, the adviser said.—PPI
