Four die of heatstroke

LAHORE, June 11: Four more people died of heatstroke in the city on Monday, hospital and police officials said. The Mustafaabad police said an unidentified youth, around 20 years old, who was lying unconscious near Dharampura Bridge, was rushed to the Mayo Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. The doctors said the boy died of heat.

Abdul Rahim, 80, who was found lying unconscious outside the shrine of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh, was shifted to the Mayo Hospital where he was pronounced dead. An Edhi ambulance shifted an unidentified man, around 30, from Bhati Gate to the Mayo Hospital where he died. The cause of his death is stated to be heatstroke.

A man, about 24 years of age, who was shifted to the Mayo Hospital by the Rescue 1122 from Lorry Adda, died soon after arrival. —Staff Reporter
