FAISALABAD, June 11: The Australian government will set up a post-harvest laboratory at the Institute of Horticulture Sciences, University of Agriculture (UAF), here, at a cost of cost $1.2 million.

Dr Ray Collins and Dr Tony Dunne, associate professors of the University of Queensland, stated this at a one-day seminar on “Supply Chain Management” organized by the UAF on Monday.

They said the project would be executed under Australia Agriculture Sector Linkages Programme.

They said the project would focus on mango, citrus and dairy as these sectors were identified as priority areas by both the countries. They also made their presentations on applied market research and highlighted the importance of supply chain management. They also held discussions with vice-chancellor Dr Bashir Ahmad and apprised him of the project being launched in the UAF. — Staff Correspondent
