Counterfeit notes seized

BANNU, June 11: Cantonment police arrested a person when he was trying to circulate fake currency notes here on Monday.

Kamran was found in possession of fake currency notes of Rs500 denomination. The number of notes could not be ascertained immediately.

The police also arrested five proclaimed offenders, Eida Gul, Hakim Khan, Sher Ajam, Rajab Ali and Noor Kamal.

ADVICE: Chemists should avoid purchasing medicines from non-registered firms, provincial drug inspector Malik Mohammad Ali said.

Speaking at a meeting of chemists on Monday, he said those involved in business of substandard medicines were enemies of humanity and the government would deal with them strictly.—APP
