Boy found murdered

ATTOCK, June10: A young boy was found murdered in Mirza Village in the jurisdiction of Saddar police station here on Sunday, while a body of an unknown man was found near Church road in the jurisdiction of the city police station, police sources said.

Khalid Mehmood lodged a report with the Saddar police that his 18-year-old nephew, Naveed Shehzad had been murdered by unidentified assailants.

According to Mr Mehmood, his nephew was taken by his friends, Mehtab and Younus, along with them from his house on Saturday evening. But he did not return back till late night.

His relatives started search and found Naveed Shehzad’s body at a deserted place near railway line on Sunday morning. The city police shifted the body to district headquarters hospital Attock for post mortem. The boy had been shot dead by the killers, the police said. The city police are investigating to ascertain the motive behind the murder.—Correspondent
