Aftab Hussain promoted to AVM

ISLAMABAD, June 9: Air Commodore Aftab Hussain has been promoted to the rank of Air Vice Marshal, said a press release of the Pakistan Air Force here Saturday.

Air Vice Marshal Aftab Hussain was commissioned on March 1, 1978 in Air Defence Branch.

During his career he has commanded two Air Defence Squadrons, an Air Defence Wing and two Air Defence Sector Operation Centres. He has served as Senior Air Staff Officer and President Categorisation and Evaluation Board of Air Defence Command.

He has also served in Air Defence Operations Directorate at Air Headquarters and qualified Combat Commanders’ Course and Air War Course. He has also served in Abu Dhabi on deputation. He holds Masters Degree in Strategic Studies. He is recipient of Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military).— Staff Reporter
