LAHORE, June 6: The Lower Mall police claimed on Wednesday to have arrested 25 swindlers and pick-pockets who used to loot visitors to Data Darbar and Minar-i-Pakistan.

Reports said some groups of swindlers and pick-pockets were operating at Data Darbar, Lorry Adda and Minar-i-Pakistan who used to loot people and passengers after intoxicating them.

Keeping in view the rising incidents, the city SP constituted a team, led by the Lower Mall SHO, to arrest the criminals.

The team nabbed four women Shamim Bibi, Rubina Bibi, Aasia and Asima besides 21 male pick-pockets and swindlers during different raids and registered cases against them.

The accused were handed over to the investigation wing.
