NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, June 5: A court official on Tuesday recovered six people from illegal confinement of the Kandiaro police.

Mohammad Suleman Solangi had been appointed as raid commissioner by Naushahro Feroze sessions judge Rasheed Ahmed Soomro on an application by Punhal Khoso. He raided the Kandiaro police station and the Rohri Canal regulator and recovered Amir Bux Kaleri, Noor Mohammad Khoso, Lutfullah Khoso, Haq Nawaz Jatoi, Nasrullah Jatoi and Waheed Ali Jatoi.

The police at the canal regulator escaped, leaving behind one of the detained people in handcuffs.

The police had detained the six people for the last 15 days without any entry in their record.

The raid commissioner directed the Kandiaro SHO to appear before the sessions judge on June 8.

ACCIDENT: Two students of Naushahro Feroze Bahria College were killed in a road accident on the National Highway near here on Monday night.

Nawab Jamali, 18, resident of Bandhi, and Rizwan Mughal, 22, resident of Naushahro Feroze, both students of class-XII, were going somewhere on a motorcycle when a Karachi-bound bus coming from Sukkur hit their motorcycle. Both were killed on the spot.

After post-mortem, the bodies were handed over to relatives of the deceased. The Naushahro Feroze police arrested the bus driver Riaz Ahmed Shaikh and impounded the vehicle. No FIR was lodged as the relatives were busy in funeral arrangements.
