PESHAWAR, June 4: The NWFP Minister for Culture, Tourism and IT, Hussain Ahmad Kanju, on Monday laid the foundation stone of a new ground, which is adjacent to the Nishtar hall. The project would be completed at a cost of Rs1.25 million.

The space would be used for marriage ceremonies, public gatherings, academic, literary and social activities and holding of exhibitions. Besides having rooms, kitchen and washrooms all necessary facilities would be available at the ground at affordable rates. The ground would help increase the income of the Nishtar Hall.

The minister also inspected the renovation work at the Nishtar Hall, being completed at a cost of Rs1.75 million. He directed its timely completion.—PPI
