CBR allows refund

Published June 3, 2007

ISLAMABAD, June 2: The CBR has allowed refund on utilities and packing material used in the manufacture of vegetable ghee for export purposes. The decision was announced through a notification SRO-443 issued here on Saturday by amending the SRO-993 of 2006.

It would come into effect, retrospectively from Jan 1, 2006.

The government had already allowed sales tax refund and rebate of duty on export of vegetable ghee, but it was not allowed on use of utilities in the manufacture of ghee for exports.
