LAHORE, June 1: Test openers Imran Farhat and Taufiq Umar have been named in the list of 27 players, who will attend a 13-week Future Players Training Programme (FPTP), commencing here from June 4 to Aug 31.
The inclusion of Imran and Taufiq signals they are not the candidates for the national training camp to be held in Abbottabad, Quetta and Karachi from June 10 and be continued in July.
A PCB release issued on Friday said nineteen players of the list would attend the camp from June 4 while the remaining eight will join them from June 14.
The list was prepared by the National Cricket Academy (NCA) Director Games Development Mudassar Nazar after consultation with the selection committee.
Probables (to join camp from June 4): Imran Farhat, Taufiq Umar, Khurram Manzoor, Khalid Latif, Shoaib Khan, Nasir Jamshed, Hasan Raza, Saeed bin Nasir, Sohail Tanvir, Adnan Raza, Afaq Raheem, Mohammad Khalil, Abdur Rauf, Mohammad Irshad, Anwar Ali, Uzair-ul-Haq, Tahir Khan, Zulqarnain Haider, Sarfraz Ahmed.
