Shahnawaz named chief referee

KARACHI, June 1: Pakistan’s Shahnawaz Khan has been named chief referee for the 23rd Asian Snooker Championship being held in the city from June 11 to 17. A panel of 12 referees, including two women, will officiate in matches during the tournament, according to PBSA on Friday.

Referees’ panel: Shabbir Hussain Daruwalla (Pakistan), Shi Ming (China), Fong Yuen Piu (Hong Kong), Ajay Rastogi (India), Ms Maryam Bahreman, Ms Tahere Eslami, Mohamad Ali Jafari, Bijan Amjadi (all from Iran), Hassan Sanak, Meshlish Hamad Al-Keyaren (both from Qatar), Somyos Pukanasut and Vitoon Tuntanatipchai (both from Thailand).
