PESHAWAR, May 31: The staff of the Peshawar High Court (PHC) began a three-day mourning on Thursday over the death of an employee of the court in a car bomb blast outside the court building on Tuesday.

They suspended official work for an hour, from 11am to 12 noon.

The staff of the advocate-general and the deputy attorney-general have also been observing the mourning.

The Qul for the deceased, Nihad Ali, was also attended by Chief Justice Tariq Pervez Khan and other judges.

Later, prayers were held for the departed soul.

Nihad, a naib qasid, was 19 years old and married only four months ago.
